
Amanda Louise Holden (born 16 February 1971) is an English actress, media personality, and singer. Since 2007 she has served as the judge for Britain's Got Talent television talent competition on ITV. She also co-hosts the Heart Breakfast radio show with Jamie Theakston on weekday mornings. Holden was born in Portsmouth in Hampshire. She spent the majority of her youth in Bishop's Waltham. At nine she was a member of the Bishop's Waltham Little Theatre Company. Holden was also on TV in three series of Kiss Me Kate, starring Caroline Quentin and Chris Langham. She was also a part of three ITV series The Grimleys and Celeb with Harry Enfield episodes. A Boxing Day special Agatha Christie's Marple episode "4.50 From Paddington" which starred Geraldine McEwan as well as John Hannah. She co-starred with Bill Nighy and Tom Courtenay in Ready When You Are, Mr. McGill, a comedy drama directed by Jack Rosenthal. Along with Alesha Dixon David Walliams and Simon Cowell, Holden is a judge on Britain's Got Talent. She joined the show in the year 2006.
