Kristen Anne Bell is an American singer and actress born in the year 1980. Born and raised in Huntington Woods Michigan as the daughter of Lorelei Frygier - a nurse - and Tom Bell - a television director - she is an American actress and singer. The mother of Kristen is Polish as is her father, who is German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen was already a talented entertainer at an early stage. In 1992, she was awarded her first role at her audition in Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell received an agent who was appointed by her mother at the age of 13 and was cast as a model in newspapers and television commercials. Along with taking private lessons and acting lessons, she started her career around that time. Bell played an uncredited character in the movie Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School, where she was a member of the both the music and drama club. She was cast as Dorothy in the high-school production of The Wizard of Oz. Bell was a student at the Tisch School of the Arts where she studied Musical Theater within New York City. Bell completed her studies in 2001, decided to leave her college studies in order to take on the role Becky as Becky in Tom Sawyer. In the same year, she starred in Pootie Tang, but the scene in which Bell appeared was cut. This meant that there is only a credit sequence. In 2002, Bell made an appearance in The Crucible, a Broadway production of The Crucible with Liam Neeson as well as Angela Bettis.
